Konzum’s Profits Rise 8.1%

Croatia’s largest supermarket chain Konzum have recorded a net profit in the first half of this year of 39.26 million kuna, an increase of 8.1 percent compared to the same period last year, according to its latest financial report.

Konzum’s total revenues reached 6.34 billion kuna (830 million euros), down slightly by 0.09% compared to the same period last year. Operating income fell by 4.9 percent to 665.1 million kuna (835 million euros). Konzum’s total expenditures compared to the first half of last year fell by 0.12% to 6.27 billion. Konzun increased retail space by 7,949 square meters in the first half of the year and also made a significant investment in the renovation of a large number of stores, said the report.
