Kornati National Park celebrated its 35th anniversary on Thursday. On August 13, 1980, 89 of the 140-odd islands, islets and reefs of the Kornati archipelago were declared a national park due to their exceptional landscape beauty, interesting geomorphology, and rich submarine eco-system. The Kornati National Park, including the islands and their marine surroundings, have now been protected for 35 years.
This year already over 100,000 tourists from all over the world have visited Kornati National Park.
