One year after the initiation of the project “School Hour with LADO – Morning Performances for Children,” the LADO Ensemble enriches the project with a program titled “Musical Heritage.”
“School Hour with LADO – Musical Heritage” is an educational project by the only professional national Ensemble, where the Orchestra of the LADO Ensemble will present rich and diverse Croatian traditional musical instruments and their incredible possibilities through compositions from various Croatian regions to preschool, elementary, and high school students.
The finest of Croatian musical tradition will be presented by the musicians of the LADO Ensemble in the grand dance hall of the LADO Ensemble for the duration of one school hour, or 45 minutes.
“School Hour with LADO – Musical Heritage” will be performed in March this year on the 18th, 20th, and 22nd of March at 10 a.m. and 12 p.m. The Orchestra of the LADO Ensemble will showcase traditional musical instruments and compositions through works such as “Šokački Meeting,” “Drmeš,” “Gračanska Polka,” “Zelinske Musicians,” and more.
The LADO Ensemble is known for various innovative projects aimed at reaching contemporary audiences. For more than seven decades, it has been promoting top-notch Croatian traditional art through dance and song.
LADO approaches young audiences with special sensitivity, as they are crucial in spreading and popularising traditional culture in an educational and entertaining manner through unique performances.
This year, the grand dance hall of the LADO Ensemble is open to the youngest, through organized group visits. The price per person is 4 EUR, and registrations are possible via email at [email protected] or by phone at 01 4828 472. See you at the “School Hour with LADO – Musical Heritage”!
