The Concord is a new Croatian Club in the Australian city of Sydney which is being built by Hrvatsko Društvo Sydney and is planned to open at the year of this year.
In 2021, Hrvatsko Društvo Sydney purchased the old Concord RSL and are developing it into an impressive complex for the local community.
This week, the club revealed the latest design Illustrations for how the bistro, courtyard, cabana, foyer, function area, alfresco area and deck lounge will look at the new club.
The vision is to create a modern, family-orientated, Croatian-inspired club that all Australians of Croatian descent will be proud to call their home, but one which will also become a landmark destination for the broader local community.
The club will be broken up into different zones, reception/function centre, sports bar, lounge area, bistro, alfresco, Croatian memorial garden, memorabilia room, class/conference room, cabana/beer garden and children’s outdoor gym and green space area.
The reception centre will be separated from the rest of club catering for 350 dining or 500 conference style seating.
The Concord has development application approval and now the construction phase of the project begins.
“This is a big milestone not only for our club, the Croatian community in Sydney, but also for the wider Croatian diaspora. We thank our past and present members since 1951 who founded and built this club into what it is today and created a fantastic legacy for future generations,” said director of the Hrvatsko Društvo Sydney board Mijo Rimac.
Hrvatsko Društvo Sydney was originally founded in 1951 by Croatian immigrants in Sydney.
