With EURO 2016 going on we continue the football theme so here is a phrase which you can slip in and impress the locals.
Today’s phrase:
‘poslao ga po ćevape’ [pos-la-o ga por che-va-pe]
The phrase poslao ga po ćevape literally means ‘sent him for ćevapi’ , the popular sausage-like dish. It is used when a player tricks a player or sells him a dummy sending him in the wrong direction, as if he had been sent to go ‘get some ćevapi’.
