Legendary coach Miroslav “Ćiro” Blažević, who led Croatia to their famous 3rd place at the 1998 FIFA World Cup in France, has been confirmed as the new coach of Croatian first division side Zadar. Blažević, who has coached in Croatia, Switzerland, Iran, China and Bosnia and Herzegovina throughout his 45-year career, will have his work cut out, with Zadar languishing in second to last place.
“I am not hiding that I would love to go to Zadar, because it is rare to find that kind of temperament in the stands,” said Ćiro about his move to Dalmatia.
