Love Croatia Nears Magical Million Mark on Facebook

It is not just Croatia the country that seems to be gaining in popularity with tourists from all over the globe. The Croatian Tourist Board’s official Facebook page is set to hit the magical 1 million follower mark shortly after breaking past 900,000 yesterday.

Love Croatia, which showcases and promotes the country’s beauty through photos, video and first hand accounts from tourists staying in Croatia, was created in 2009 and has its most followers from Croatia (132,507), followed by fans from Italy (118,467), Germany (115,892), Austria (73,629), Hungary (65,391) and Poland (55,088). According to stats service Socialbakers.com, the Love Croatia page is amongst the top 5 fastest growing ‘Travel’ pages in the world, and 24th on the list of top travel pages, ahead of Spain, New Zealand, Austria, Switzerland and Germany. The page is also 7th when it comes to official tourism board pages.
