Croatian captain Luka Modrić (38) has written more history today, this time for his club Real Madrid.
Now in his 12th season with Real Madrid, Modrić has won numerous trophies and broken records, and he has added two more to the book.
Real Madrid defeated Barcelona (2-1) in the 11th round of La Liga on Saturday, with Modrić coming on in the 63rd minute when the Catalans were leading 1-0.
The diminutive Croatian turned things around on the field and assisted Jude Bellingham for the victory in the 92nd minute.
Luka is making history again.
Modrić played his 500th game for the Real Madrid today, but that’s not all. He has forever etched his name in El Clásico history as he became the oldest Real player to participate in the greatest match in Spanish football.
