A luxury 5-star hotel is planned for Zagreb’s main central Ban Jelačić square, according to a report by portal Telegram.hr…
The report reveals that Adris group, who own the Croatia Osiguranje building on the corner of Praška street and the main square, will convert it into a luxury hotel. Adris group are reportedly in negotiations to try to purchase the building next door, which would give them more space than their current 3,200 square metres for the new hotel.
Adris group, who purchased Croatia Osiguranje last year, already have experience in the hotel game. Maistra, who recently opened the luxury Monte Mulini hotel in Rovinj, is also in the group’s portfolio.
Currently there are just three 5-star hotels in downtown Zagreb (Sheraton, Westin, Esplanade), and if realised, a 5-star hotel located right on the main square would be a great addition to the city’s quality accommodation offerings.
