MAKARSKA, 17 May 2019 – The Dalmatian town of Makarska will play host to a food, beer and music festival in June.
Organised by the Makarska Tourist Board, the 3-day Krafting – Makarska Craft Festival will be held from 7 – 9 June 2019 and will gather top Croatian chefs, local craft beer and gin producers and also will present a range of other local and international beers and traditional gastro delights.
Popular names on the Croatian music scene like Vojko V, TBF and Cubismo will provide the entertainment during the festival. This year’s festival guest is the Slavonia region.
During the three days, visitors will have the opportunity to try over 50 different beers, various craft gins, rakijas from Slavonia, craft coffee and enjoy cooking shows with guest master chefs.
The music programme starts in the afternoon hours with a range of DJs and bands and the main acts – Vojko V, TBF and Cubismo.
“The series of events we have organised last year, we continue this year. We want to introduce tourists to our gastronomy which is an inevitable part of Makarska’s tourist offer. This is a trend that offers visitors an indigenous experience of local flavours, and besides completing the experience of a tourist’s stay in our town, it offers locals the opportunity to enjoy the delicacies of visiting chefs, breweries and distilleries,” said Makarska Tourist Board director Hloverka Novak-Srzić, before adding.
“In order to present other parts of our beautiful homeland to visitoes, this year we invited our friends from Slavonia as guests. They will present us the best gourmet products of the Slavonian plains. Therefore, I invite all lovers of top gastronomy from Dalmatia, and beyond, to join us in this unique experience in the town at the foot of Biokovo mountains and support this step that follows the tourist trend of the so-called ‘Experiential Tourism’ in Europe as well as in the world. We will try so that you return home with unforgettable experiences and memories of great fun and sensational tastes.”
