After revealing last week that Kings of Leon will play at next year’s INmusic festival in Zagreb, organisers have confirmed today that trip hop collective Massive Attack will join them as headliners.
“The Bristol-based duo Massive Attack has indelibly shaped the evolution of contemporary music as a pioneering trip hop collective whose body of work and influence transcend the boundaries of genres and music as an artistic medium.
Their ever-innovative and famously intense artistic performance will be on display at the 17th edition of the INmusic Festival in June 2025,” orgaisers said.
In 1987, Andrew Vowles (Mushroom), Grant Marshall (Daddy G), and 3D (Robert del Naja) began operating under a name that soon became synonymous with trip hop.
In 1991, Massive Attack released their debut album, Blue Lines, to widespread critical acclaim.
With the track Unfinished Sympathy, they redefined pop music with emotional vocals and sophisticated production. Their later albums, such as the iconic and atmospheric Mezzanine (1998), delivered classics like Teardrop and solidified their reputation as undisputed innovators of modern music.
They join the lineup of the 17th INmusic Festival as headliners, alongside previously announced acts Kings of Leon, Fontaines D.C., St. Vincent, and Yard Act.
