Minister of Tourism Darko Lorencin says that Croatia can be satisfied with how the tourist season has gone thus far, despite some competitor markets seeing larger growth…
In the first six months of the year there have been 7.3% more foreign arrivals in Croatia. Whilst that growth is better than that recorded in the first six months of 2014 in Italy, France, Tunis, Egypt, Cyprus, Turkey and Slovenia, larger growth has been seen in competitor markets such as Greece, Malta, and Portugal.
“We can be satisfied with the results that have come in so far. We will comment on July results at the end of next week. Some destinations in Croatia have seen falls, others have stagnated and some have grown in July. There are good signs that August and September and the peak will be at the same level as last year, with growth in the post season,” said Lorencin.
