ZAGREB, 17 September 2019 – The newly-crowned Miss World Croatia, Katarina Mamić (22), is currently preparing for the Miss World contest.
Besides getting acquainted with everything that awaits her in London, Katarina has gone back to school for a quick crash-course to brush up on her English at Smart School, which is one of the best foreign language schools in Croatia.
“I speak English, but I want to be better, to have better pronunciation. There is a possibility that I will have to give an interview and I do not want to do it badly. At Smart, I will have the best training and I am sure I will go to London like a real English girl,” Katarina joked.
“We will work with Katarina using the best methods to improve her pronunciation. Native English speakers will work with her and we are sure that the Miss World Croatia will leave as an excellent speaker of English,” Daniela Dapas, owner of Smart School for foreign languages said.
Katarina won over the judges at the Miss World Croatia contest with her beauty and communication skills, and everyone is hoping she can do that same in London later this year at the Miss World contest.
“With these skills and likability Katarina has, we believe in her success. Preparations are getting more and more intense everyday, and our Miss is giving her all to represent Croatia in the best possible way,” said Maja Vračarić, director of the Miss Croatia pageant added.
Miss World 2019 will be the 69th edition of the Miss World pageant and will be held on December 14, 2019 at the ExCeL London in London, United Kingdom.
