Miss Mexico crowned Miss World 2018, Croatia misses out on top 30

Vanessa Ponce de Leon from Mexico has been crowned Miss World 2018 after the 68th pageant was held in China on Saturday night. 

The 26-year-old model was presented the crown by last year’s Miss World winner Manushi Chhillar from India at the event in Sanya City Arena.

The first runner-up was Miss Thailand whilst the 5 Continental Queens crowned on the night were:

Miss World Europe: Belarus

Miss World Caribbean: Jamaica

Miss World Americas: Mexico

Miss World Africa: Uganda

Miss World Asia and Oceania: Thailand

Miss Croatia, 17-year-old Ivana Mundić Dujmina from Split, failed to make it among the Top 30 finalists.

The Miss World Top 30 finalists were:

Miss China. Miss Cook Islands, Miss Belarus, Miss Belgium, Miss Northern Island, Miss Russia, Miss Scotland, Miss Nigeria, Miss South Africa, Miss Panama, Miss Barbados, Miss Jamaica, Miss Nepal, Miss Japan, Miss USA, Miss Mauritius, Miss Venezuela, Miss Bangladesh, Miss Chile, Miss Malaysia, Miss India, Miss Singapore, Miss Thailand, Miss Mexico and Miss Uganda.
