Jana Biondić, a talented young student from Senj, was crowned Miss Lika-Senj County, securing her place as a finalist in the prestigious Miss Croatia pageant.
The main tent at the “Autumn in Lika” event in Gospić was brimming with beauty as the Miss Lika-Senj County contest for the 30th Miss Croatia took place.
The stunning Jana Biondić, a third-year student at the General Grammar School in Senj, emerged as the winner, making her the 11th finalist for Miss Croatia.
“From a young age, I’ve been involved in handball and dance, and now I regularly go to the gym and ski. In my free time, I enjoy walking, especially with my dog, as I love being in nature. I like socialising, travelling, and learning about new people and their cultures,” she said, before adding.
“I find the sunsets in my town relaxing, as well as hiking and taking in the view of the sea, islands, and my Senj from the slopes of Velebit. I am energetic, playful, and always ready to learn and face new challenges. I can’t wait for the Miss Croatia final.”
Maja Majdanac was chosen as her runner-up, and she will represent the county in the 30th Miss Croatia final if Jana is unable to attend.
During the competition, the contestants presented themselves to the jury in designer outfits by Calico Mood and later in elegant attire while answering questions from the expert judging panel.
They also wore wedding dresses by Nikolina Wedding Store. In addition to securing her place in the final, the winner received a gemstone tiara from Gemstone Gallery by Ivana Milun.
“We are extremely happy to be part of the traditional ‘Autumn in Lika’ event again this year and that the Lika-Senj County, along with Mr. Ernest Petry, sponsored the Miss Lika-Senj County contest. This allowed us to continue our collaboration with the county, which over the years has become a friend and partner of the Miss Croatia for Miss World contest.
A big thank you to the city of Gospić, Mayor Darko Milinović, the Director of the Gospić Tourist Board, Maja Strilić, the Director of the Lika-Senj County Tourist Board, Ivan Radošević, the Director of the Plitvice Lakes Municipality Tourist Board, Josipa Kukuruzović, and our partner for Miss Croatia, the Public Institution of Plitvice Lakes National Park and its director, Tomislav Kovačević,” said Miss Croatia Director Iva Loparić Kontek.
The programme was hosted by Davor Garić, with a performance by Andrea Šušnjara.
