MLB: Seattle Mariners to hold Croatian Heritage Hight at T-Mobile Park
Started by the NBA many seasons ago to honour all the different nations of the players playing in the league, heritage nights are proving popular also in the MBL.
In July, the Seattle Mariners baseball team will be celebrating the rich Croatian culture.
Croatian Heritage Night will take place when the Seattle Mariners play the Detroit Tigers on July 16 at T-Mobile Park.
There will be Croatian-related activities around the game to celebrate the contribution Croatians have made in the league.
“T-Mobile Park is the perfect summer destination to celebrate the land of a thousand islands with your friends and family,” the Seattle Mariners said on their website.
Limited edition Mariners/Croatian-themed T-shirts will also be part of the ticket package.

There have been a number of Croatians who have played baseball at the highest level in the US.
Some of the more famous names include Roger Maris, who played 12 seasons for 4 MLB teams from 1957 through 1968, and Mickey Lolich, who was a pitcher for the Detroit Tigers.
