On Monday, September 4th, the Croatian Football Federation will organize a full-day event for fans in Zagreb, with the highlight being a spectacular showdown between Croatian national team players in street football, followed by a gathering of the biggest stars of Croatian football with the fans.
At the main parking lot of the City Center One West shopping center in Zagreb, the Croatian Football Federation will host “Vatreni Monday,” a football festival in which the entire Croatian A national team will participate.
They are gathering in Zagreb on that day for the Euro 2024 qualifications matches.
The climax of “Vatreni Monday” will be in the afternoon when Croatian A national team players will take part in a “Street Football” tournament, showcasing their skills in a thrilling 3-on-3 format on a small pitch. It will be a unique opportunity to witness the wizardry of Modrić, Kovačić, Gvardiol, Perišić, and other Vatreni stars in a different setting, and undoubtedly, their exceptional competitive spirit will shine through here as well.
“I’m really looking forward to this tournament because it will break the usual football routine and challenge us in a completely different format. I’m curious to see how everyone adapts to street soccer, and I’m sure we’ll all give our best to win in the end,” said the world’s most expensive defender and Manchester City star, Joško Gvardiol.
Other participants throughout the day will also join in street soccer, including the Croatian women’s national football team, who will perform around 3:00 PM. Alongside this football showcase, “Vatreni Monday” offers a full-day program (from 10:00 AM to 9:00 PM) for football enthusiasts, featuring various activities, events, and games designed for the youngest fans.
Furthermore, “Vatreni Monday” will serve as an opportunity to promote the new HNS website, hns.family, and the new online HNS store, which will start operating at shop.hns.family on that day. This will mark the beginning of a collaboration with the leading sports equipment retail chain, Sport Vision, and an exclusive presentation of an expanded range of HNS products, available for purchase both at the event in front of City Center One West and online.
After the street soccer tournament, five Vatreni stars – Luka Modrić, Ivan Perišić, Mateo Kovačić, Joško Gvardiol, and Dominik Livaković – will be signing purchased items at the Sport Vision store in City Center One West.
MaxSport will provide a live broadcast of the street soccer tournament, and visitors can follow it on two large LED screens placed next to the field.
