If your planning on coming to Croatia and staying in a hotel then you better be quick booking in some places. UK hotel booking website LateRooms.com reports that the rise of popularity of big European music festivals has contributed in a 1500% rise in bookings in Zagreb alone as British music lovers flock to the events.
Statistics from the hotel booking specialist show that 2013 European festival-goers are set to shun on-site camping facilities in favour of the comfort of nearby hotel rooms, and are already booking up rooms for a short break ahead of major events such as Primavera in Portugal, Optimus Alive! in Lisbon and the INmusic festival in Croatia, wrote LateRooms.com.
Zagreb has been one particularly venue to benefit from the rise in popularity of its INmusic festival with a significant influx of British music fans. This year’s acts such as Arctic Monkeys, Iggy and the Stooges and Basement Jaxx have resulted in a 1500% rise in hotel bookings in the Croatian capital this June compared to last year.
“More and more of our British customers want to combine the music event with a short break to Europe and we are pleased that our vast array of European hotels can provide a room for their every need, be it to get clean, treat themselves to a gourmet meal, or just rest their head on the pillow after a day of taking in the music!”, concluded LateRooms.com.
