ZAGREB, July 1 (Hina) – Currently, 644 hotels and 344 campsites are open in Croatia, and more and more tourist accommodation facilities are reopening their doors to guests from day to day, according to information provided in the latest bulletin of the Croatian Tourism Association (HUT) on Wednesday.
The fifth edition of the “Croatia Tourism & Travel Weekly”, issued both in Croatian and English, also underscores that none of 1.6 million visitors who were accommodated in commercial facilities in Croatia in the first six months of 2020 had caught the novel coronavirus.
Also, all those hospitality businesses are implementing strict protective measures for healthcare, which is why they have reduced their accommodation facilities.
HUT’s analysis shows that the number of visitors in Croatia is growing by 30,000 on a daily basis.
Most guests are from Germany and then from Slovenia and the Czech Republic, Poland and Austria. According to the data from the application https://entercroatia.mup.hr/ officially used by visitors to register to enter Croatia, over a million foreigners have applied for arrival in Croatia, says HUT.
