A new seasonal catamaran line connecting Split with Bol on the island of Brač and Jelsa on the island of Hvar will launch next week, Morski.hr reported.
The new route Split-Bol (Brač)-Jelsa (Hvar) will commence on 15, May 15 and operate through the tourist season until 10, October 10 every year.
The news was shared by Jelsa mayor Nikša Peronja.
“There is some good news regarding Jelsa. After long negotiations and discussions I conducted with th Krilo shipping company and with the director Jure Naranča, with the assistance of the Agency for Liner Traffic, a commercial catamaran line Split-Bol-Jelsa has been agreed upon,” Nikša Peronja said.
During the peak season, the catamaran will depart from Split at 11:45 a.m. and arrive in Bol at 12:45 p.m. It will then leave Bol at 13:00 p.m. and arrive in Jelsa at 13:20 p.m.
The return route will see it depart Jelsa at 18:10 p.m and arrive in Split at 20:00 p.m.
“This is a big deal for Jelsa’s tourism as well as for the local population, and ticket prices should be around 20 euros, as with other commercial lines from the city of Hvar to Split,” Peronja concluded.
