The Croatian Tourist Board has presented new uniforms which will be worn by representatives promoting the country and fairs and events.
The new uniforms were modelled by a number of well-known Croatian women at a humanitarian fashion show held in Zagreb on Saturday night.
The uniforms were designed as part of the ‘Created with heart’ project organised by staff at the Ministry of Tourism and Croatian Tourist Board.
The eight girls involved in the project were tasked with coming up with new uniforms for Croatian Tourist Board staff at tourist fairs in Croatia and abroad. Local design duo ELFS lent support to the project.
Among the 22 models who showed off the new uniforms last night were journalists, politicians, actresses, sportswomen and scientists.
Croatia’s natural beauty was the motive and inspiration for the dresses with destinations like Dubrovnik and Hvar featuring.
“With this project, we wanted to show that Croatia is much more than the sun, the sea and the beautiful nature, and we want to highlight it as the land of people with great hearts and creative energy,” said Minister of Tourism, Gari Cappelli.
The uniforms will be debuted at the big World Travel Market (WTM) fair in London on 5-7 November.
All proceeds from the event were donated to the ‘Dar’ association in Osijek for kids with autism in Croatia and its prevention.
