Low cost airline Ryanair has announced the launch of a new seasonal route connecting Croatia and Italy.
The new route will connect the Dalmatian city of Zadar with Rome.
Flights between Zadar and Rome’s Fiumicino Airport are set to begin on 3 May 2025, EX-YU Aviation News reported.
Initially, the service will run twice weekly, with plans to expand to three flights per week starting in June.
This re-establishes a link between Zadar and Rome, last served by Ryanair almost two years ago. With Rome now joining Ryanair’s network, it becomes the airline’s 52nd destination served from Zadar.
In addition, Ryanair will soon begin flights between Zagreb and Palermo for the first time.
Flights between Zagreb and Palermo are set to begin on March 30 and run three times a week, on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Sundays, using a 180-seat Lauda Europe Airbus A320.
Ticket sales for this route began yesterday.
