New World Croatian Donut Making Champion Credits Long Marriage For Victory

Luci Babic is the new World Fritule (Croatian donut) Making Champion. Babic won the 8th World Championships in preparing the famous Croatian donut in the Dalmatian city of Split on Monday.
Held at Split’s Prokurative square, Babic beat off 2nd placed Ankica Tokic and 3rd placed Marija Boban to win the title and close to 700 euro in prize money.
“I have been married for 30 years and I have learnt how to make them. My husband likes them so much that for years he has tried to get me to enter this competition,” said the new Croatian donut making champion to Slobodna Dalmacija.
