New world passport rankings: Croatia’s position revealed

The index is based on exclusive data from the International Air Transport Association (IATA) – the largest and most accurate travel information database.

The Henley Passport Index ranks all the world’s passports according to the number of destinations their holders can access without a visa.

The index uses exclusive data from the International Air Transport Association (IATA) – the largest and most accurate travel information database – and is enhanced with information from the Henley & Partners research team, Novi list writes.

This year’s big winner is Singapore, with its passport allowing visa-free access to an impressive 195 destinations.

Following closely are the passports of France, Germany, Italy, Japan, and Spain, each allowing access to 192 countries.

Where does the Croatian passport stand? It ranks at no.11 on the list, with visa-free access to 183 countries. 

New Visa-Free Access for Croatian Passport Holders

Last week it was announced that Croatian passport holders no longer need a visa to enter Thailand if they plan to stay for up to 60 days, with an additional 30 days if approved by the Immigration Office.

This change, effective from 15th July, includes Croatia among 36 new countries under the new regime. By easing entry for various groups of travellers, Thailand aims to boost its national economy, which is still recovering from the pandemic, including the tourism sector.
