Croatian Railways (HŽ) is launching night train lines to the coast, and prices to coastal destinations have been reduced by up to 40 percent.
Željko Ukić, the CEO of HŽ Passenger Transport, revealed to RTL Danas that the night services to the coast will start tomorrow evening.
One train will run on the route Vukovar-Vinkovci-Zagreb-Sisak-Split/Šibenik, and the other on the route Osijek-Bjelovar-Zagreb-Split/Šibenik.
“Last year, there was one night train, but this year there will be two. The new thing is that tickets must be reserved for night trains,” said Ukić, adding that tickets for children and students are free, and the fare for students in any direction is less than 10 euros.
A 40% discount is being offered on travel from any stations/stops to Split, Šibenik, and Rijeka.
Bicycles and pets will also be allowed on the night trains.
