ZAGREB, March 16 (Hina) – In the last few hours, Croatia did not register any new positive cases for COVID-19, and one more patient was discharged from Zagreb’s Fran Mihaljevic Hospital after full recovery, Health Minister Vili Beros told a news conference on Monday afternoon.
“Since this morning we have had no confirmed positive test. Good news is also that a female patient, who was treated in Zagreb’s Hospital for Infectious Diseases was discharged,” the minister said at a regular news conference which the national COVID-19 crisis management team has been holding every afternoon since the outbreak of the coronavirus infection.
Currently, 800 suspected cases are being tested.
In the country, 9,598 persons are under medical observation after being in contact with positive patients or after they arrived in Croatia from regions hit by the virus.
In the City of Zagreb, currently there are six public health centres set up specifically for testing suspected cases.
Also, Croatia’s healthcare authorities have planned the establishment of centres with respirators for possible COVID-19 patients in a serious condition in the four biggest cities.
