Number of road traffic fatalities in Croatia slashed by fifth in 2020

ZAGREB, 11 January (Hina) – In 2020, there were 237 road traffic fatalities, or 20% less than in 2019, the Croatian police stated on Monday.

Last year, which was marked by the COVID-19 epidemic, saw 60 fewer traffic fatalities and the number of traffic accidents also decreased by 17% to about 26,000 from 31,000 in 2019.

Traffic-related serious injuries also declined, by 10% from 2,525 in 2019 to 2,268 in 2020.
