One Croatian island has made it into popular travel magazine Condé Nast Traveler’s Top 10 islands in Europe list. The northern Adriatic island of Krk came in at number 10 on the list, which was based on readers votes in the categories of scenery, friendliness, atmosphere, restaurants, lodging, activities and beaches.
“Krk is the most popular (and populous) of Croatia’s Adriatic Islands, and one of our readers calls it “the best place in the world.” The islands scored incredibly high for their beautiful scenery, but our readers didn’t feel the same way about the restaurants and lodging options: Those two categories received very low scores,” wrote Condé Nast Traveler.
Santorini was voted number one, followed by Capri and Elba & Tuscan Archipelago.
