Traditionally it has been Easter Weekend that has been the first indicator for how the tourist season will go for those working in the tourism industry in Croatia…
During this Easter Weekend the popular northern Adriatic town of Opatija is expecting around 5,000 tourist arrivals and more than 14,000 overnight stays, 5% more arrivals and 2% more overnight stays than last Easter Weekend, the Opatija Tourist Board has said.
Most of the arrivals (93%), who will mainly come from Germany, Austria, Slovenia, Italy and Croatia, will stay in hotel accommodation. 30 Hotels will be open in Opatija for the short holiday break. The Opatija Tourist Board says that full cultural and entertainment programme will be on to entertain the large number of tourists this weekend. (photo / Tim Ertl)
