The Faculty of Croatian Studies at the University of Zagreb is once again accepting enrolments from Croatians abroad.
Five years ago, the Faculty of Croatian Studies introduced the Demography and Croatian Diaspora program.
The Faculty of Croatian Studies reserves 53 spots annually for students from the Croatian diaspora and Croatian minorities. The cost of full-time study is fully subsidised by the State Budget.
Requirements
To apply for enrollment under the special quota for Croats from abroad at the Faculty of Croatian Studies, applicants must meet several requirements.
Firstly, they need a certificate of affiliation with the Croatian people, which can be obtained from the Central State Office for Croats Abroad, located at Pantovčak 258, 10000 Zagreb (contact: [email protected]).
Additionally, applicants must have completed four years of high school, constituting the last four years within at least twelve years of schooling.
Furthermore, candidates should be ready to relocate to Zagreb and attend classes conducted in Croatian.
Eligible applicants will undergo a discussion to assess their motivation and proficiency in the Croatian language. This evaluation can be conducted either via video call or in person at the Faculty of Croatian Studies, Borongajska cesta 83d, Zagreb.
The discussions are scheduled to take place during two intake periods: from July 3 to 5, 2024, for the first intake period, and from September 11 to 13, 2024, for the second intake period.
