During the past week, Croatia has had to deal with two major crises. Amidst the current coronavirus pandemic, the country has had to cope with a devastating earthquake which rocked the capital Zagreb last Sunday.
Many people lost their homes and repairs are set to last up to a decade. Support came in all over the world for Croatia and yesterday Paraguay showed their solidarity by lighting up Palacio de López, which serves as workplace for the President of Paraguay, and is also the seat of the government of Paraguay in Asunción.
“In solidarity with the people of Croatia, which at the same time faces the COVID-19 pandemic and is recovering from one of the most serious earthquakes in its history, Paraguay pays tribute by lighting the Government House in the colours of its flag.
