The Hobbit Opens In Croatia With Treat For Fans

The highly anticipated blockbuster film “The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey” by New Zealand director Peter Jackson, finally opened in cinemas across Croatia today.
There is a treat in store for Croatian fans of the film, cinema goers will be able to view the film in 5 different formats, including HFR (Higher Frame Rates) 3D that shows 48 frames per second (cinema standard is 24).
The fantasy film, which is the first of a 3-part film adoption of J.R.R. Tolkien’s novel “The Hobbit”, is set 60 years before The Lord of the Rings and is about the hobbit Bilbo Baggins (Martin Freeman), who is hired by the wizard Gandalf to accompany 13 dwarves on a quest across Middle-earth to reclaim the Lonely Mountain from Smaug the dragon.
