PHOTO: Diver Comes Face To Face With Shark Near Croatian Island

Divers near the unpopulated islet of Plavnik on Croatia’s northern Adriatic coast have come face to face with a 3.5 metre shark, and have captured the moment on camera.

Karleto Vincan was out diving near the islands of Krk and Cres with two divers from Zagreb when the ‘meeting’ occurred at a depth of around 37 metres.

“First it passed underneath us, but when it saw us it turned around and came back towards us! We literally looked at it eye to eye. Then it left…In these situations there is no place for panic and we knew what we had to do. In the end it turned out all ok,” said Vincan to daily Novi list.
