SPLIT, 19 July 2019 – American actor Owen Wilson has spent his first few hours in the Croatian city of Split looking around the historic centre, popping in for some supermarket shopping and visiting the new Game of Thrones museum.

Wilson arrived at Split Airport on Friday just after 4 pm on a commercial Lufthansa flight. He will join up with Salma Hayek in Split to continue shooting scenes for the new movie Bliss, which is being shot for Amazon Studios and Endgame Entertainment.

After touching down, Wilson made his way for a bit of sightseeing in the centre. Dressed in a baseball cap, collared jersey, shorts and trainers, the Hotel Budapest and Wedding Crashers star happily posed for photos after fans recognised him in the supermarket.

He also was happy to pose for a photo at the new Game of Thrones museum in Bosanska ulica, posing in front of Drogon’s jaws which greet visits at the museum. More than 100 exhibits, including sword of Valerian steel and a number of life-sized character statues, from Jon Snow to Hodor, are on display there.

Filming for Bliss is set to resume at locations in Split next week. Wilson plays a recent divorcee, Greg, whose life is falling apart as he meets an enchanting woman, Isabel, played by Hayek, who lives on the streets and is convinced that the polluted, broken world around them is not real. Isabel insists they live in an ugly, harsh world simulation inside of the beautiful, peaceful real world of bliss. Doubtful at first, Greg eventually discovers there may be some truth to Isabel’s wild theory.
