Glamping, a style of camping with amenities and, in some cases, resort-style services, is becoming more and more popular throughout the world.
Croatia provides a few clamping opportunities and the latest to open was at the Terme Tuhelj spa resort in Krapina-Zagorje County. Blending into the Zagorje landscape with a view of the green hills, the five-star Glamping Village at Terme Tuhelj is the first five-star camping site in continental Croatia.
There are three types of modernly designed and well-equipped cottages – Vita Family, Couple and Loft, for two to six people.
There is a spacious terrace where one can relax drinking a coffee or sipping on a cocktail whilst overlooking the children’s pool, or chilling on a deck chair or reading a book in a swing by the wellness pool.
There is also a private wellness area with a whirlpool, massage rooms and saunas just for glamping resort guests.
Each of the 36 cottages bears the name of a famous Zagorje locality worth visiting and every morning on the terrace in a full basket guests receive breakfast from local and freshly grown ingredients.
The investment, worth three million euros, was realised in cooperation with Austrian partner Gebetsroiter, a company with almost forty years of tradition in creating the highest quality camping destination.
