Talented Croatian illustrator and muralist Tea Jurišić is making waiting for a bus on the Makarska Riviera a more pleasant experience.
Tea has been sprucing up bus stops with vibrant colours and appropriate Dalmatian motifs, such as seagulls, boats, traditional costumes, and olive trees.
She has recently finished putting her talented touches on bus stops in Podgora, Čaklje, and Drašnice on the Makarska Riviera and the results look fantastic.
Tea has brought to life the little bus stops in these picturesque tourist spots from the monotonous and quite worn-out and unrepresentative concrete ‘blocks’ they once were.
“A few weeks ago I painted bus stations and walls on Magistrala Road near Podgora and Drašnice. This is an ongoing collaboration with the Podgora Tourist Board, and 6 walls are already done. Looking forward to the exciting, upcoming projects,” Tea said.
Tea, who runs the one-woman studio “KVAR illustration”, specialises in conceptual illustration and has experience in book illustration, advertising, packaging, editorial illustration and murals, where she has painted a number of impressive ones in many European countries, including Norway, Germany, Italy and Slovenia.
Tea has also worked with some big international brands like Adidas, L`Oreal, Virgin Unite, Samsung and Beck’s brewery.
