PHOTOS: First Vis Art Exhibition a huge success

Artists and art collectors flew in from all over the world for the opening night of the Vis Art Exhibition at The Palazzo Laska on the island of Vis, courtesy of of Anthony and Ivana Stancomb.
The show is the brainchild of mother-and-daughter team; fellow artists Daphne and Clementine Hanbury who have a home on the island.
Exhibitors included Lincoln Seligman, Puff Morgan-Giles, Lady Annabel Fairfax, Belinda Scott, Fred Albrow, Keith MacGregor, Puff Morgan-Giles, Effie Andreae, Holly Biorklund and Claudia Munro-Kerr.
Guests included Lord and Lady Newborough, Anthony and Ivana Stancomb, Vanessa and Jo Anstruther Gough Calthorpe, Donald Scott from Korcula, Vanja Vojkovic from Visvillas.com, and Philip and Lona Vermulen who are developing the stunning Ceska Villa at the entrance to the bay of Vis.
Also present were Gary and Hilda Ward who were featured in Croatia Week this summer with their new gin company, Lord and Lady Newborough, Mucky Degn, Michael Bird from Dalmatian Destinations and Mr and Mrs Mario Bralic from Vis Villas.
Many of the artworks were sold and it is hoped that this will become an annual event.
