Slovene Marko Kump of Adria Mobil Cycling has won the second stage of the international cycling race Tour of Croatia on Thursday…
With a time of 4:50:40, Kump was too good for the rest of the field in the 180-kilometre Šibenik – Zadar stage. Poland’s Pawel Franczak took second place, whilst Russian Roman Maikon was third.
20 professional teams, including 8 World Tour teams and 1 Croatian team, are taking part in the 840 km race which features 5 stages over 5 days. Yesterday’s opening Makarska – Split (160 km) stage was taken out by Grega Bole.
There are 3 more stages left in the race:
NP Plitvice – Učka (228 km)
Pula – Umag (152 km)
Varaždin – Zagreb (118 km) (finish)
