PHOTOS: Međimurje crowns representative for Miss World Croatia title

The most beautiful young women of the Međimurje County competed last night competed for the title of Miss Međimurje County for Miss World Croatia 2023.
In the beautiful atrium of the Old Town palace in the centre of Čakovec, Luna Marija Novak was crowned as Miss Međimurje County 2023.
Lara Palnec from Mursko Središće was the second runner-up and Tea Bunić from Čakovec as the first runner-up.
The new Miss Međimurje County is a high school student from Strahoninec. Even though she is only 17 years old, she has a long history of contemporary dance, which she has been practicing for eight years. She also actively participated in athletics.
Luna stands tall at 174 cm, speaks English and German fluently. In her free time, she enjoys running, and she sees this pageant as an excellent starting point in the world of modelling.
The girls presented themselves to the jury through several fashion shows, wearing designs by Andy Fashion, B’Roth by Blaženka Roth, jewelry by Mary M, creations from the fashion atelier Botun by Sanela Škorput, and they walked the runway in elegant evening gowns by Bariba and wedding dresses from Salon Lidija. The finalists were beautified by Imperia Beauty & Nails, Calm Beauty Centre, and Stil Goričan hair salon.
During several days of preparation, they enjoyed various locations in Međimurje thanks to Jakopić Travel agency, visiting places like Seoski Turizam Goričanec, Mađerkin Breg, and many others. During their preparations, the girls were warmly hosted by Pansion Mamica Pušćine.
Although only one could be crowned the most beautiful, all the girls received numerous gifts from the partners of the event, including B’Roth gift vouchers, certified organic cosmetics from Kuća Magične Trave OPG Jakopović, gift vouchers for special makeup and lash lifts from DaEmy, VizArt gift vouchers, foreign language courses at Studio Žerjav, Cyber Look bracelets, a visit to Terme Sveti Martin, skirts from Andy Fashion, gift vouchers for Red Spot Fitness Center, and bouquets from Flora Floral Gift Gallery.
“I would like to thank Međimurje County, the Tourist Board of Međimurje County, and the City of Čakovec for their support and hospitality, as well as the organisers of this county competition, Janja Sabrie Varga and Vladimira Ciber, for successfully organising this event,” said Iva Loparić Kontek, the owner of the Miss Croatia for Miss World license and the director of the Miss Croatia competition.
The program, which featured performances by Plesni Studio Korak, HJER, Srećko Krištofić, and Una Strbad, was hosted by Bruno Kontrec.
