The super yacht does not go to the petrol station, the petrol station comes to the yacht…
More than 40 tankers carrying 750,000 litres of petrol were needed on Sunday in Dubrovnik to tank up Roman Abramovich’s super yacht ‘Eclipse’.
The 40 petrol tankers will need 40 hours to fuel the 162.5 metre mega yacht, which is owned by Chelsea FC’s billionaire Russian owner. The bill for tanking up? Around 1 million euros.
Eclipse is the world’s second largest private yacht and is reportedly worth around 800 million euro. Eclipse has two helicopter pads, 24 guest cabins, two swimming pools, several hot tubs, and a disco hall. It is also equipped with three launch boats and a mini-submarine that is capable of submerging to 50 metres. Approximately 70 crew members are needed to operate the yacht and serve the guests.
