PHOTOS: Plane from Shanghai carrying 12.5 tonnes of protective equipment lands in Zagreb

ZAGREB, 29 March 2020 – A plane from Shanghai carrying 12.5 tonnes of protective equipment landed in Zagreb on Sunday afternoon.
The special China Eastern Airlines flight is the first in a number of flights that will be bringing necessary medical deliveries to Croatia in the coming weeks, the Minister of Health Vili Beros said on Sunday.
Today’s delivery, along with one that arrived yesterday, also from China, with ten tonnes of protective equipment, significantly enhance the country’s defence against the coronavirus, Beros added.
The equipment will be distributed to medical institutions as well as other services – police, sanitary inspectors, etc.
On Friday, Croatian prime minister Andrej Plenkovic spoke with China premier Li Keqiang on the phone where cooperation between the two nations was discussed.
