The Croatian family who open up their home every Christmas for what is one of Croatia’s biggest and brightest Christmas lights displays, will open their doors again with an Easter attraction.
For the last 15 Christmases in a row the Salaj family home in Grabovnica near the central Croatian town of Čazma has been a major attraction for locals and tourists, and shortly they will be opening their Easter edition.
The Salaj Family Easter Story will be open at their Grabovnica property from 7 – 23 April 2017.
More than 20,000 Pisanica, the decorated dyed eggs which are given as gifts and which are the symbol of Easter in Croatia, will be lit up, as well as other decorations and attractions.
This will be the 6th year in a row that the Salaj family have held their Easter Story. Apart from the spectacular decorations, there will be a host of entertainment, including traditional Croatian tambura music, dancing and activities for the kids.
There will also be a chance to buy handmade souvenirs and taste some local Easter delicacies.
Entry fee is 20 kuns for adults, with children under 7 free. More info on their website.
