PHOTOS: Summer Festival of Istrian Pršut attracts big crowds

The 2nd Summer Festival of Istrian Pršut held this past weekend in the town of Tinjan.
The big crowds got enjoy top Istrian pršut, as well as other local delicacies over two days.
On Saturday, the festival was opened with speeches by the mayor of Tinjan, Goran Hrvatin, and the county head of agriculture, Ezio Pinzan.
A total of ten pršut producers presented themselves at the festival – Pršutana Antolović, Pršutana Dujmović, Pršutana Jelenić, Pršutana Milohanić, Pisinium d.o.o., Pršutana Tomaso, OPG Franjul, OPG Turčinović, Pršutana Buršić and OPG Goran Jančo, whose representatives came from Slavonia.
In total, there were 30 exhibitors at the festival, including producers of various cured meat products, three cheese producers, two olive growers and other family farms who brought numerous local delicacies, such as honey and honey products, eco products made from aronia and hemp, fruits and vegetables.
There were also attractive souvenirs and jewellery on offer, all with top wines from local winemakers.
In the House of Istrian Pršut, journalist Davor Šišović presented a monograph on Istrian pršut. The native collection of Enriko Depiero was also exhibited in the park.
Concerts by the group”Febra” and “Alfa time band“ entertained the crowd over the two nights.
