Štrudlafest thrilled once again this year. After several years in Jaškovo, not far from the central Croatian town of Ozalj, the strudel-making competition was held again.
The winners of this sweetest competition were the women from the Ogulin Women’s Association, and they impressed the judges with their apple and grape strudel, better known as the Guinness strudel, which all contestants prepared.
This reminded us that Štrudlafest is also in the record books. StarKA-e took second place, while third place was reserved for Vrata Zagorja.
In addition to the super fun and super sweet competition, Štrudlafest offered ZIP lining for the youngest, numerous culinary workshops, a ride on the Žitna boat, creative workshops, as well as Strudel by bike, by horse, and by kayak experiences, step by step.
Štrudlafest featured over a hundred strudel flavors, and this year, they premiered Tesla’s strudel. As part of the sweetest festival in Croatia, Strudlafest, the Week of Strudel is taking place at forty-two locations throughout the Karlovac County.
The youngest attendees were especially delighted with traditional rural games like “kamenčkanje” and “kozečkanje.” Of course, Štrudlafest always ensures good music, so this year’s edition was spiced up with performances by Luka Nižetić and Filip Rudan.
