The Longest Table in Croatia – a traditional annual culinary event – has once again taken place in Slavonia.
The event takes place in the village of Velika, which is located in the eastern Croatian region of Slavonia, and this weekend hundreds turned out to sample dozens of traditional culinary specialties from all parts of Croatia which were laid out for tasting on a table close to 800 metres long.
Over 550 exhibitors from all over presented their authentic local dishes on the gigantic table. As well as traditional cuisine from Slavonia, there were also dishes from Dalmatia, Istria, Zagorje and Bosnia and Herzegovina. Once again there was a good turnout from Croatians living in Hungary who presented their dishes.
As well as great food, there was a range of various drinks to sample from around Croatia such as wine, liquer , nd rakija.
