Mother nature has changed the shape of Croatia’s famous Zlatni Rat beach, situated in Bol on the island of Brač.
Strong southerly winds, more than 120 km/h in parts, this week has battered the Dalmatian coast.
The stormy weather caused record 9-metre waves in Dubrovnik and has changed the shape of Croatia’s tourism symbol – Zlatni rat.

The winds have bent the peak of the beach, a phenomenon that has happened before. The beach returns to its usual shape in a couple of days.
Local Roni Marinkovic captured these images of Zlatni rat after the battering.
