The American fast-food restaurant chain Pizza Hut is set to open its first restaurant in Croatia.
Earlier this summer, it was reported that they would be opening restaurants in Zagreb and Split. However, this information was suddenly retracted despite being reported in several media outlets.
Yet, as Dobra hrana reported today, and as visible on the pages of the local employment platform, the Pizza Hut franchise is currently seeking employees, particularly in Zagreb, indicating that an opening can be expected soon.
Although the initial announcement mentioned three restaurants in Croatia, located in Zagreb and Split, specific details are not yet known. Nonetheless, it is certain that the first Pizza Hut will be opened in Zagreb, with a job offer for a shift manager open until November 5th.
The job posting reveals that the franchise holder for Pizza Hut is Europe Top Pizza d.o.o, located at Avenija Većeslava Holjevca 40 in Zagreb, Dobra hrana writes.
It’s worth noting that Pizza Hut was rumoured to arrive in Croatia around 10 years ago, with the announcement of the opening of three branches. However, as discussed at the time, the franchise was quite expensive.
While the requirements were not too demanding, securing locations ranging from 100 to 150 square meters and a terrace was necessary, although, similar to many fast-food restaurants, they will primarily rely on delivery.
Pizza Hut will join the ranks of global restaurants available in Croatia, alongside McDonald’s, Burger King, KFC, and Domino’s.
Founded in 1958 in Wichita, Kansas, Pizza Hut is an American restaurant chain. The franchise was started by Dan and Frank Carney, and currently, there are a staggering 17,639 Pizza Hut restaurants worldwide. They offer dishes such as pizzas in various sizes, as well as wings, sticks, lasagna, and various other pasta dishes. The brand is part of the Yum! Brands, Inc. company.
