Pomâlo Inn on Vis becomes first hotel in Croatia to be named by HIP Hotels of London
Pomâlo Inn, a boutique 10-room property developed in 2022 on the Dalmatian island of Vis, has been selected as a HIP Hotel by HIP Media Group Limited of London.
Pomâlo Inn is the first property in Croatia to be designated as a HIP Hotel. Pomâlo Inn features interiors by designer Loulou Rees, incorporating elements of Dalmatian folk crafts along with vintage elements and antiques.
“I created the hotel I had hoped to find on Vis – simple yet luxurious, a poetic extension of the island,” said Loulou Rees. “It’s thoroughly Dalmatian with a relaxed, retro ‘land-that-time-forgot’ vibe,” she added.
HIP Hotels are “Highly Individual Places.” HIP hotels must fulfill certain criteria: they must be unique, interesting, off the beaten track and carry a distinct charm like no other place, no two properties are the same.
“They encompass the reason for travel – to explore the unknown and discover hidden gems,” according to HIP Hotels. HIP Hotels was founded in the 1990s by award winning photographer Herbert Ypma, and has sold over 2 million books in over 11 languages.
