ZAGREB, 13 October 2020 – As part of Julius Meinl’s sustainable development campaign, which saw them donate a coffee plant, a pop-up free book exchange has gone up in the arbor of the Botanical Garden in Zagreb.
The idea is to enable citizens to enjoy a book, promoting the culture of words and their exchange. Anyone who comes to the Botanical Garden can borrow, read and return a book. They can also leave a book in the library to share with other lovers of the written word.
“Cooperation with the local community, along with systematic care for safety and health and sustainable development, are our key business priorities. The Botanical Garden is a wonderful place, and it is well known how inspired we are by written word and poetry. Time will tell whether the idea will come to life, but we are not giving up in our efforts to make the world a better place for us and future generations with small steps, ”said Julius Meinl, who are sponsors of the concept.
Responsible enjoyment of a cup of coffee, with biodegradable capsules and coffee-to-go cups, the Safer Coffee project provides safety and health to customers, support for small family producers, environmentally friendly coffee drying technology and cooperation with the local community are the business philosophy of Julius Meinl, the company said.
