It’s time for another Štrudlafest, the sweetest festival that delights thousands of people every year, and is dedicated to one of the most delicious and beloved desserts – strudel.
This year, the sweet party starts on the first weekend in September, from September 2 to 4, to be exact. The village of Jaškovo, located between Ozalj and Karlovac, will once again become a unique combination of gastronomy, sports, culture, art and entertainment for young and old.
Of course, all this with delicious strudels, but this year there will be more of them than ever.
It’s hard to imagine, but this year there are more than a hundred flavours of this dessert waiting for visitors, and there will be many other homemade products that will perfectly please all palates.
Visitors will also find gastro workshops with ambassadors and other strudel masters, and a special attraction this year will be Tata Marta’s house and Tomislav Špiček’s gastro show, and they will also have guests from as far away as Nepal.
The youngest will enjoy the charms of Štrudlafest again this year. Little strudel lovers will enjoy the riding range, the train, the wooden carousel, but this year there is also a Rally kids corner waiting for them.
But that’s not all. This year, they will also have an adrenaline-pumping HGSS corner where they can try the ZIP line and sit in a real rescue vehicle. One of the main attractions of this year’s festival is the unique maze in the cornfield, which will delight the youngest, as well as the older ones.
In the art workshop “Brush and strudel” visitors will be able to paint plates, have the opportunity to visit a ranch with Scottish cattle, and there is also Baron’s Alley, a carriage ride.
Visitors can get to know the beautiful landscape of Jaškovo and its surroundings by bike, boat or horse, because Štrudla by bike, Štrudla by boat and Štrudla by horse routes awaits.
All this will be spiced up by great concerts, on the first day of the festival the legendary band Crvena jabuka will play, while Štrudlafest will be closed by popular musician Matija Cvek.
